Never has a band emoted such energy and passion in me within the first few chords of a song as Trail of Dead.  Right from the get-go this group from Austin, Texas tears up the scene with their blend of indy hardcore and brit-pop with a gusto that is a small indication of their live performances, which have become legendary in the Austin area.  One would think that destruction of instruments has become passé since the days of Nirvana and Iggy Pop, but Trailof Dead bring new meaning to the tradition.  This record is a rollercoaster of emotion, rising and falling in aggression and tenderness to make the head spin. Each listen opens up to new discovery.
